PRP treatment on the face is administered through injections to the facial area. Platelets in the blood are concentrated in clear plasma. This is then what is injected into the skin. Following this procedure a large amount of growth factors are released to stimulate soft tissue regeneration, improving the appearance of the skin. The skin texture becomes improved, as does the skin tone, the skin becomes more firm and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are reduced. This procedure is often offered as an add on to dermal fillers, or can be a stand alone treatment. Hair restoration therapy uses a very similar process. Once the plasma is injected into the scalp, growth factors are produced, stimulating the growth of thinning hair. In order to perform each of these PRP procedures, you must be qualified in phlebotomy. This course does just that, teaching all aspects of phlebotomy in aesthetics. 

The phlebotomy aspect of the course teaches you the anatomy and physiology of the arm, complications management and health and safety, the practical application of phlebotomy and disposal of sharps. Regarding the PRP facial and hair restoration procedures, you will learn the theory behind PRP, how to deliver the procedures and complication and risk mitigation methods, as well as the health and safety involved. This curriculum will be taught through online theory pre reading, as well as a practical session on site at iBeautify/SAB Aesthetics.
